strange things on tank wall

my axolotl seem pretty healthy-i've had them for about 3 months, however i have recently noticed tiny (about 1 or 2mm) oval tansparent flat things on the glass and on the filter, they also have a red dot at one end of the oval. the number of these mystery things is increasing and as the plants are plastic i'm not sure where they came from. can anyone help?

thanks very much, i'd been on the point of emptying and cleaning the whole tank, such a relief to know its harmless.

Those limpets are soooo annoying! They reproduce like crazy and they are hard to clean out of the tank. Thankfully they don't harm anything, they are just ugly in my opinion! Good luck keeping the population under control.
