Question: Subspecies?

So, I have had my tiger sal, boots, for a while now (about a year and a half), and I was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit about him? Namely, his subspecies? I think he is a A. Mavoritum, and he is a healthy, hungry Sallie. I moved him to a new habitat today, and I was wondering what exactly he was.

Thanks,

Mitch. uploadfromtaptalk1394996597706.jpguploadfromtaptalk1394996631370.jpg

Overweight? How can you tell? Here's some more pictures... He looks big in those ones. Should I cut back on feeding? If so, how much? I didn't think he was overweight, to me he looks like all the other tigers i've ever seen.uploadfromtaptalk1394999012423.jpguploadfromtaptalk1394999027493.jpg

My bad I guess. Thank you for letting me know, less food from now on, I suppose.

He is overweight. If his stomach is as wide or wider than his head, I'd say he's overweight. At least that my opinion with this species.

Yes, He does look like a A. mavoritum to me.

I would feed him night crawlers or earthworms twice a week maybe. Or less. Depends on the size of the worm. But the ones I get the pet store are about 4-5 inches long. If that's the case then chop them up into a few pieces and feed one to him until the worm is gone. Do that once a week for a while until his weight goes down a bit.

I am no expert or anything, but that's just my idea of what should be done. -Seth

I see. I do feed earthworms, but i haven't really been keeping track of my feeding. So only twice a week, then? Seems ok. Thank you for the help! :D

Yes once or twice a week until his weight drops. No problem, if you have any more questions feel free to ask
