Does the vet have an after-hour number? I'm so sorry you're going through this.....
They only give the pet hospital number. I have emailed that hospital asking before if they treat reptiles but I never got a reply back. This was months ago when one of my turtles were dying.
I don't think he's alive anymore. There's no more red. I don't know what happened. Can someone please explain this to me? Undigested food, gill shrinkage, laying on the floor, bleeding from behind gills? All this happened overnight. A couple hours ago he saw me watching him and scuttled over and lay there staring at me like he normally does. The only difference being that he seemed ill and wasn't using his legs. We stared at each other for half an hour before I hopped on here to get some help and a few hours later he became like this. Maybe he was trying to tell me something?
Owning pets is rewarding and horrible at the same time. Normally it's so great, but when you can't help your pets in a time of suffering there is just so a horrible feeling nipping at you.
