So I eventually plan on setting up a 40 gallon breeder for my two female axolotls to live in together, and I needed a few good suggestions for a few things:
-Substrate, I've considered axogravel, but it's so expensive... I've also heard that fake, plastic grass that's non-toxic and metal free makes for good liner on the floor. If so, where do I buy this?
-A filter, I'd prefer a sponge filter, if so what models do you use?
-A consistent way to keep the water cool. I currently struggle with keeping my 10 and 20 Gallons cool, a chiller would be nice but they're generally so expensive.
