Ok, I know Stelly should be on Earthworms as soon as possible, but until my red wiggler colony breeds, I can't do that.

For now this is his diet:

When I get up, I give him frozen thawed Krill that I rinse the salt out of and chop up. I feed until he swims away.

Then, in his food bowl, I put in 4 or so Salamander/Newt pellets, a few Bug Bite granules (main ingredient is BSFL,) and either a cube of frozen blood worms or a cube of mysis shrimp. (Sometimes I do half and half.) I'm picking up glassworms today to try with him. I let this sit until evening so he can eat during the day, then I siphon out what he doesn't eat before bed.

In the evening I give him 3-4 chopped up BSFL.

Is this diet ok? I want him to be healthy. When he is an adult, can I still give him krill in his food bowl along with his pellets, even with Earthworms as the main food. I don't want him to be deficient in anything. Can I also use up the blood worms, mysis shrimp and glass worms when he's an adult, along with the Earthworms?

Very slim cut of frozen beef heart would be more similar to earth worm diet. Before I found the pellet that my axie love to eat, and I was having a live worms shortage supplied during the week, I used to feed them thin shredded beef heart that has been soak in water from my tank to get rid of excess blood, light frozen again, then I used the very sharp cheese grater to slice them to worms size . I made bunch of batch the packed them in ice cube tray then refreezed ;). But now I found my axie favorite pellet which is Nova-lotl from Germany by JBL brand. Which is made just for axolotl . My axie would eat them up very quickly.

NO IT WOULDN'T. Beef heart is NOT suitable for axies.
You really need to get some education you are regularly giving bad advice and talking nonsense. Please stop.

To the OP - worms are the best option for a staple. Pellets will do, you can use bloodworm, glassworm, krill etc as an occasional treat.

Really? Ok then no beef heart , I was told by my vet that they can be good and many place has recommended them as alternative food choice . If you think my advice is that bad I won't say no more . I have been attack lately I kinda had enough with it too.

I ended up finding night crawlers at a store that aren't too big, so I chop one up and feed, then do the bowl stuff I mentioned and then the evening feed of bsfl. The next day I do krill instead of night crawlers, just to keep things interesting.

Once the red wigglers breed I will use those. Though, they are much thinner and I will have to use more than with the night crawlers. He doesn't like any of the pellets I've tried. I don't want him to get a deficiency. :(

I've noticed he digests the bsfl guts but poops out the body shell....
