I saw an aquatic tank in the gallery with a very similar plant, it starts with V, but I'm not sure if it is the correct one.

I'm not sure what type of plant this is.. I found it in a creek/stream around my school. I've seen this similar plant in a Japanese fire belly newt aquatic setup, and apparently it's a popular aquarium plant..

But before I go throwing it into my tank, is it the right one?
Vallisneria?

Theres thousands and thousands of these down that creek/stream.

Cheers
Zac

Yes, that's vallisnaria..looks like red jungle vals to me. It will probably melt back a little and take a while to get established, but once it does, prepare for take-over. :p It's a great plant.
