The first one has morphed today. It's around 6 cm long.

This is amazing! Great set of pictures, and lovely video footage. I changed my Kweis tank today from a dry, terrestrial setup to a partly aquatic one, and the male was straight into the water. Hopefully they will decide to breed this year!

I have 7 juveniles on land. They are doing great, and eating very well.

My Kweichowensis-Larvae from 2010 stayed into the Water until now. Few came out, but the most are still Larvae,

How long are they? They seem to be a little bit smaller than my juvies, when they became land invaders. Mine were 6 cm when they morphed. (of course it shouldn't be a problem if they are smaller: they will catch up later).

Unfortunately I'm the only one with succes breeding them in the Netherlands (I lost 2 out of 7).
I hope this year will bring good luck breeding them again, and not only for me :p

AW: Re: T. kweichowensis breeding.

Hey Joost,
during Spring and Autum my Kweichowensis are outside in the garden and before the Winter they were still Larvae in the water. So I took them into the basement during this long and cold winter. They are in 5° cold water and those 26 juveniles you saw at the picture morphed very small ( 3-4cm). It was very laboriously to feed them up. But now they are wonderful and there are still 40 in the water. Now the tank is heated and the larvaes prosper in the water round 7-8cm. So they might become landinvaders like yours with 6cm,
ummi
