My Verrucosus have not bred in three years. And the two previous times they were not viable or the eggs got fungus. So recently, I was away from home for 5 days and left the lights off all my newt tanks. This was an accident, as my wife forgot to turn the lights on and off.Anyway, when I got back a couple days ago,I saw eggs in the tank. There were eggs all over the hornwort. Interestingly,my blue tail cynops had also laid eggs. I guess there does seem to be a baby boom after black outs! Anyway,I'm hoping these Verrucosus eggs are viable and I'll be moving some of the eggs to two different tanks. The big girl is still laying.she is HUGE.
