Tail drop/shedding

I have 6 juvie. N. strauchii that appear to be onto their first shed and 4 of them have lost/dropped? the ends of their tails. Anyone heard of/experienced this. I will give water perameter and feeding details if someone PLEASE responds...........................................

I did have this happen to one of my juvenile strauchii. I always assumed that it had come off due to being caught or torn somehow, but it was a fairly clean break. If this happened to 4 of 6, then I wonder if it's something innate rather than an injury. When it happened to me, it was just the tip of the tail that came off, about a 1/2 or 3/4-inch piece. I found the piece of the tail in the tank.

What are the water parameters (pH and anything else you've tested)? What does the shedding look like?
