Just a quick question that I've been wondering, the tip of his tail looks very translucent, and doesn't look like it's very well vascularised. Is this something I should be concerned about? Have noticed this for about 2-3 weeks now, and thought its just part of normal growth. Let me know what you all think! Thanks

That's a natural process of regrowth. I have 4 axolotls And they will nip one another's tail tips every now And again. The tip will look translucent while it heals but eventually gains it's normal coloration back, nothing to worry about.

Thanks for that! Kind of weird though seeing as he lives on his own in the tank, but I guess as long as its ok!

Tail injuries could happen for a vast majority of reasons, most Likley your axolotl caught it on a tank decoration or something within the aquarium if he was spooked or hyperactive for a short period of time. Again this is a completely normal occurrence and nothing that you should be worried about. Your axolotl is already growing back a healthy tail section and looks happy to me.

By the way your axolotl has some stunning colors, extremely beautiful! The iridephors in my golden albino axolotl are no where close to that pronounced.
