Tank flooring

I was thinking about gem stones for the floor. They are kind flat but round shape, like a donut without the hole and come in different colors. Or is that what you mean by marbles?

They'll be too small; you'll risk your axolotls accidentally swallowing one.

You could silicone them to the bottom of the tank and make a 'cobblestone' floor out of them?

i am going to do a nice display tank for the 6th grade class here in the fall and am going to use black granite as the floor in the tank

I saw you post in the sell/trade section, do you have Lucy axolotl often? I was 2 when I get my 29 gal tank going. Running test on bucket of water right now to make sure I can keep them at the right temp. Tomorrow will be 90F degrees, so it is perfect time to see if it is possible.
