I decided to invest in some live plants for my axie a few months ago (hornwart and frogbit). The plants were doing really well for awhile, but have been dying recently. I removed most of the plants and noticed some critters now in the tank that I assume came from the plants. There were few before, and I researched and identified some and determined them to be harmless to my axie. However, there has been a sharp increase in the number of critters in my tank that don't seem to go away no matter how many times I change the water. I have also noticed some white, hard looking substance in my axie's gills that could be fungus but may also be some of the critters. What should I do?? Is this just a normal ecosystem in my tank or is it infested? I'll post pics if needed

Well, its probably a bit late but nevertheless,

It would be great to some pictures of both the critters and the 'white stuff'
then we could determine the root of this recent change in your ecosystem
as well as define what the potential fungus is.

Kind regards, Sebguy
