Hi, it's my first post!
My axolotl Prismo has outgrown his ten gallon rank, and so now I'm ready to upgrade him to something more serious.
  • What is a good size tank for one axolotl?
  • Are there any good recommendations for hideouts I could possibly incorporate moss into (like a cave, etc.)?
  • Any good DIY advice for decor in the tank?

And any links to Aquascaping advice would be amazing!
Thank you!

Hi there and welcome to the forum.
The usual size tank for one axolotl is 20 gallons volume and 2ft long minimum.
Here are some links which you might find useful.

Several hides (caves, pots, hollow artificial logs, etc.) are always required. The more placed your axolotl has to hide the more secure it will feel, and the more time it will spend out and about.
There is also a thread on this forum where people post pictures of their tanks, so that might give you some ideas as well.
Best of luck with your new set up and please keep us posted on your progress. Some pictures of the set up, with Prismo enjoying his new home, would also be appreciated. I love seeing what other people are doing with their tanks.
