Axolotls spend most of the time on the bottom of the tank. You would be better off with a shallower longer tank. That tank would be fine for one axolotl but he would probably feel confined.
Not to sound like a smart *** , but I made a calculation and with those dimensions and I get a volume of 48 US gallons.
Lol. Definitely not a smart**. I always thought it looked smaller than a 60 gallon but I never really did the math cuz it was for my angel and pleco. I will just sell the tank and get a nice more shallow tank. ?. Thanks for your advice.
