We have our axie by a window and the temperature of the tank fluctuates between 68-60F depending on the day. Will this cause problems for him? Are temperature fluctuations as dangerous for axolotls as they are for fish?

Thanks

Sudden temperature fluctuations are bad for axolotls. A gradual change of a few degrees during the day is usually harmless.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
