Temperature Question

What is the best temperature for my newt? I'm not sure his type but you can see a picture of him in my other post "my new newt Scooter"

Your picture was pretty small, but most newts like lower temperatures, so don't use a heater.

In reply to your other post, I gave you the link to a caresheet. That caresheet includes temperature recommendations. Warmth is stressful to newts. A healthy well-established one may endure a few weeks of temperatures above 75F, while the stress of this temperature might be enough to sicken a newly-imported pet-shop newt. See:
