In reply to your other post, I gave you the link to a caresheet. That caresheet includes temperature recommendations. Warmth is stressful to newts. A healthy well-established one may endure a few weeks of temperatures above 75F, while the stress of this temperature might be enough to sicken a newly-imported pet-shop newt.
