Terrarium temperature

This spring and summer I'm looking forward to some herping. I'm not sure but I might take care of some salamanders in my 10-gallon tank. I more than likely won't though. I just want to catch some newts and let them go. (Get them on film, of course
biggrin.gif
) but just in case, how do you keep a terrarium cool on those hot summer days?
 
The best bets are a basement or a room with really good A/C. A screen lid will keep things cooler due to evaporation, but you have to be careful things don't dry out.
