i was wondering if anyone had any preferences for plants in terrariums. I have done a little research on the archives and found Nephropolis, cryptanthus, selaginellas, tradescantia fluminensis, and pilei cadeirei suggested. Any thoughts on the plants i have chosen? If anyone esle has any personal favorites please let me know because i want to make my terrariums a centrepeice for my room.

My favorite would be Hedera helix, it always works, and grows fast. Ferns also work very well, though I've had some less sturdy species die off in my terrariums.

Hey Rich,
You can't go wrong with pothos. As far as Cryptanthus are concerned be aware that most commonly available species actually prefer more arid conditions (and will do well in a desert vivarium), even though they are often featured in tropical forest vivariums.

Thanks for the input everyone. I haev decided that devils ivy and English Ivy are what I am going to start with, and I will try to find some moss to harvest. The last moss I found was growing on a brick and lasted approx. 3 months. Is this a normal lifespan or can moss keep indefinitely in a viv?
