I just wanted to know what kind of test kits I need to get my water reader for some axies

The best test kits are the ones with the liquid reagents. They are more accurate, cheaper and last longer. The dip strips have a short shelf life and don't give reliable results. The ones you really need are ammonia, nitrite and nitrate with pH being much lower on the need scale.

I have a API Freshwater master test kit. It is liquid dose over 800 test I love it. I got it at Petsmart about 30.00.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
