[The Banana]

My Golden Albino is named Banana, my Wild-type Aristotle Axolotl (my friend thought of the name), my Albino is named Tenedor, which is Spanish for fork, as she has a fork in her gills.

Future names -

Sonriente - Spanish for Smiley

Feliz - Spanish for Happy

Hambre - Spanish for Hungry..

I have four axolotls;
Puzzle- female albino
Riddle - Female golden albino

I named these two after reading Breathless, by Dean Koontz- there are these two creatures in it that are both white so hence the names.

Frills - Brown wildtype, male
Toothless - Black wildtype male. From: How to Train Your Dragon- he looks so much like him being black and all, lol.

Someone on this forum has an axolotl named Trogdor- The Burninator, which I think is the most awesome name in history

Cassiopeia is the first one that comes to mind, and Orion. I don't know many constellations so I looked some up

Well, the signs of the zodiac are actual constellations too...

Aquarius
Gemini
Capricorn

She is called Canaq (a blend of the Latin words Canis + Aqua, or in other words, Water Dog - I HOPE!!!)

haha Canaq..i love it! could also mean dog water right? aquinis, k-qua, aqucan, its fun to smash science words together ;p

I have Trogdor, part man part dragon, thought it seemed fitting for a water dragon with arms and legs.
then there is Burnie, to pair off with Trogdor as a friend, since he is a lucy. with red frills kind of thought of 'gills of fire" the burniator!

I think Mekkha might be right. Wooper looks much more like an Axolotl than Mudkip.

mudkip is supposedly the only water type pokemon to walk on all fours, Mudkip's name is based on its behaviour. It is said to kip in the mud, kip meaning to sleep..lol
i think they both are based off axies...that and Toothless from Train you Dragon movie :happy:

it took me somewhere between 2-3 weeks to finally peg down my axies' names. i have a leucistic and a golden albino, and i was so impressed with my golden's extremely shimmery front-side of his gills that i was DESPERATE to name him something reminiscent of "gold." but i hated gold, so i tried dubloon, treasure, etc; nothing fit.
finally worked it out that i wanted gemstones; a dozen and a half google searches later, i ended up with Beryl and his partner Morgan. :3

Beryl is a stone that can range in gold to amber. (my golden, obviously)
while Morgan is named after Morganite, which is actually a type of Beryl, but in a pink/whitish variety.

so, in the end, they're named after the same type of stone; which fit even more since they're both axolotls.

My leucistic is Chun Hei (Justice and grace) and my GFP wild type is Sang Min (Aid and cleverness), but the partner calls them Yin and Yang respectively...

Man, my friends are no help in naming my 2.5 week old larvae. They all want it to be named Taco, or Axl. Usually with Commodore or Admiral in front of it. Admiral Taco... >_< Well, they are Mexican salamanders, but I dunno...

I had two rats, females, named Rizzen and Grace O'Malley (Irish pirate queen).

Four kitties: Maledict (male), Penelope (Penny), Lieutenant Scratchy (aka Rusalka, as she's a lovely Russian blue), and her all white daughter Bailey (for being born in a Bailey's box).

Had a dog named Dusty. Other kitties named Diff (for Different Kitty- I was very young...), and Pia.

My baby is only an inch long now, and looks like it MAY be a light wildtype, but I don't know yet. It's hard naming them when you don't know final colour or gender!!
