The Varying Colors of Axolotls - Submissions

Okay, I know I'm new, and yes I know the different OFFICIAL colors of Axies. But we all know that through various breeding and random genes, there are some cool colors, patterns and shades of Axolotls.

So, I just wanted to start a thread, where unlike the personal image gallery, we can submit a pic of the common and unique variations.

Also, for the sake of genetics, if you have a unique color, if you know what the colors of the parents were.

Hopefully this request doesn't step on anyones toes.

This guy(or girl) is my melanoid. I thought he was wild type but it was brought to my attention that he wasn't! See the solid eyes and the absence of shiny pigments. I always thought that melanoids were a solid black, or at least really dark, but as you can see, this one has a white underside and although it's kinda hard to tell from the pic, he has almost a purplish hue in real life. I think it's pretty unique! Maybe there are a lot like this fella out there, but I've never seen them! As for the parents, I have no idea.

It looks like you've got yourself a melanoid! There doesn't seem to be a shiny ring around the eyes and there are no shiny specks on it so I'd say it's a melanoid.

I have a normal coloured Wildtype with lots of gold spots down her side and tail. There is another member on here with much brighter spots, but here is Toothless for comparison (she didn't look like this until she was 6 months, up until then we had thought she was melanoid!).

My melanoid Fury has these spots on his tail, like a leapord his belly is also paler than his back.

And my two golds. One's Thor, who's pretty and yellow all over with only a few white spots on (her?) tail. And Glorlim, who is a duller yellow and had white spots all over (him?)

Glorlim looks like a copper, Quentari I've only seen a handful of those!

I believe coppers have a red iris and are more brown/olive colored rather than gold?

Apparently Coppers lay white eggs and are thus a strain of Albino, so a Golden coloured Copper makes sense.
Maybe yours is a Coppolive? Either that or he's a really, really dark Golden Albino.

By the way, the GFP Wildie is beautiful!

Glorlim looks like a copper, Quentari I've only seen a handful of those!

He's more yellow than that in real life, he doesn't take pictures very well. I'm pretty sure he's a golden but hey, I'd love a copper anyway XD Don't coppers have darker eyes?

Coppers don't have bright red eyes like albinos. They look pretty black (as you can see on my picture) but (if they are pure coppers) the eyes will look red if you use a light or camera flash from a specific angle. It's quite tricky to make a pic of it... Well, for me it is. Sometimes I see it in daylight too! And it's quite pretty.

Man, that greeny-yellow and black is so flashy!!!! What a gorgeous lotl. Have you ever bred from him? If so, did any of the babies come out so colourful?

Pretty sure my Leviathan is a melanoid, and I believe he's changing colour slowly. He's about 3-4 months old, already has really lovely burgundy gills, and I'm hoping he keeps darkening up so he'll be an inky blue like his mum. ^^

You never know how they'll turn out - they change so much from juvie to adult & they're all unique & special <3
