I was wondering how i work out the volume, in liters, of my tank.

it is 48x12x15 (inches)

all of my other tanks said on them the volume but this 1 didnt. now im confused.

does anybody know how to calculate it in liters?

thanks <3

hey, umm if i were u id go on the practicla fishkeeping website. cant remember it, so google practical fishkeeping.
its got all sorts of converters, including dimensions into litres.

I got a volume of 141.57L

To calculate the volume in gallons use:
(Length x Width X Height)/231

I then just converted the volume in gallons to liters.

Thanks a lot.

just so you know... my tank works out at 141.6 litres

cheers dan, coz mines the same size, so now i know my volume!

(Length x Width X Height)/1000
measurements need to be in cms not inches though

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
