Tigger pods?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so forgive me if it isn't.

I recently got some Triturus dobrogicus eggs and they've slowly been hatching over the past couple days. I had ordered some daphnia and rotifers to feed them, as it's too cold where I am to run any cultures at the moment.

Unfortunately, it would seem my foods are stuck in the mail somewhere, and now I'm in a panic that my larvae will starve to death!

The only LFS in my area with anything remotely suitable to feed them only had these "tigger pods" sold for saltwater aquariums. Has anyone tried using them? I'm hopeful that they can at least hold the little guys over until I get my orders or I can get some BBS going.

Tigger pods are salt water copepods. If they stay alive in fresh water for any period of time, they should get you by. Be sure to rinse them to get rid of the salt water.

Also, don't panic about needing food right away. Larvae often hatch with some yolk still present and don't start eating for several days anyway. In fact, trying to feed them with tigger pods could do more harm than good, by exposing them to an environment with dead food around.
