Too cloudy tank

it kind of dipends, you can of course always buy quick start, but i never really trust quick start myself. i much prefer a filter squeezing from an established tank. at my work i often don't charge customers for a filter squeezing, but if the manager is on my case for spending too much time talking to customers and not enough selling stuff, then i'll sometimes charge $1. so it just depends on what kind of local pet store you have, and who you find to help you.

just obviously avoid petsmart and petco for stuff like that.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
