hi! so today im taking one of my school’s (essentially mine at this point, im the only caregiver) axolotls home today! yesterday i noticed she had a slight fungal infection and asked if i could take her home to treat her - obviously i was told i could. i’m just a little nervous about having to drive 30 minutes back to my house - i’m worried the movement will stress her out. i intend to have the AC on max the whole time, with the seat cooler running as well. any advice would be much appreciate!

A sealable tub is fine, i have transported hundreds of axolotl with zero probs. Last tue i moved 250 on a 3.5 hr trip, zero fatalities, as usual Just keep the temp down and dont crash, other than that yr fine.

perfect! thanks

Speaking as someone who literally just drove 2.5 hours for the 18th(?) time with an axolotl, find a tub that has zero sharp-ish edges, ideally one that's just big enough for it to move around without sloshing from side to side. As should be expected, take turns carefully and gently and go slowly and as smoothly as you can.
