Well, its that time of year again. I am flooded with advanced larvae and morphs. I thought I would share some pics. I have my last batch of newly hatched larvae of the year too.

Here are some pics:

Is that in fact a Triturus dobrogicus morph or a noto morph in the top row of pictures??? If it's Triturus, the similarities are astounding!

Those are Notos. The T.dobrogicus juveniles are the ones in the first 4 pictures of the second post.

No worries, haha. I was just confused because a lot of newt morphs look the same, and I'm only familiar with a few...

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
