very nice and different from the nominate subspecies. Is the skin granular like that, or is it just the pigment?

Hi Will,

yes it is really kinda rough - but it is also metallic reflecting - so it may seem a little more granular.
The females I got get more and more spotted - I will upload some pictures in near future on my Homepage.

BEst Greetings,

Kamil

Very nice Kamil, this male looks very different from the ones I found in northern Spain. They were way more spotted.

Hi Wouter,

yes - I found also animals that had a lot more spots than this animal in several places of N-Spain. The females I got have many visible spots but are not that nice and good to take pictures of

I will try to post some female-shots in future on my homepage

The helveticus i´ve seen my whole life in cantabria definitely don´t look at all like those. anyway, these are nice animals! is this the subspecies from Burgos??? i always get confused with helveticus.
