I was really hoping for this to happen. Last year I had no luck this year I got eggs. They were transitioned from a cooled terrestrial setup to a warmer aquatic tank. I'm hoping the eggs will develop and hatch. Here are some pics enjoy!

Congratulations. My male has been actively courting my female since early November, and he does look spectacular.

Well I hope you end up with eggs as well. Have your newts produced eggs before? Maybe you can share some pics! I truly think that there's a lacking of T. marm photos in mating dress.

Indeed!
We need more T.marmoratus pictures xD
I find both males and females to be stunning, but it´s undeniable that males are trully a magnificent sight. The sheer beauty of a male in full dress is breathtaking.

Best of lucks to you both, by the way!

Mine have been laying on and off for two months or so. They're sort of done now but a few are still being squeezed out!

those are spectacular looking animals in the video. The one male seems to be more interested in hamming it up for the camera than in eating bloodworms :)

How about a full setup pic. I am interested how people are keeping the tank 50/50 or full aquatic. My marms are just at 2+ yrs old so I am ready for them to transition.

Oh, yeah, I just saw this Jaymes; I'm swimming in larvae.

Seems like most my eggs aren't doing well. Your lucky Dawn! Seems like your luck has been consistent. I may need to get new blood so.....if you can help. Sorry had to ask. Just kidding, good luck with yours Dawn!

Currently have some luck with my Marbled Newts. Hope I'm not the only one.

Awesome !

What is that thing you use as a substrate for the eggs ? Plastic bag ?
Did you shred it or something ?

I love the idea, much cheaper and more convenient than live plants !
But kind of uglier though :D

Just plastic sandwich bag cut into pieces. Works very well and you can observe egg development. I can't take credit for the idea but I use it with other Triturus. The set up is plastic bad cut into pieces and rubber band the base around a rock or something that won't allow the plastic bag to float.
