Thinking about getting a few marbled newts (Triturus marmoratus) would they be better off in a terrestrial setup or aquatic. Or possibly both in a paludarium? :p

I'd say it depends on the newts and how they were previously kept, some will stay aquatic year round while others are only in the water during breeding season.
I would really just keep them the same way they were kept with the breeder you're getting them from and make changes if necessary

I have a group that is a year old- all around 4 inches. I want to move them in to a land/water set up. I would love some guidance on how you set yours up. I am hesitant since this is the first time transitioning to water. Can you please give a description of your set up (depth of water, ratio of land to water)?
