Quite true about the "tropical" species, Ed. Bolitoglossa lincolni, for example, live in Guatemala and Mexico. Based on that information one might think that they live in a high-temp, high-humidity environment, but this is wrong. They inhabit the cloud forests from 6,500 to 9,500 feet above sea level, which is a quite cool environment.
