hello, I am currently tubbing my axolotl due to cycling the tank. I have read different answers on how many times to do a 100% water change a day when tubbing. Some say once and some say twice. I just want to actually ask and get answers for myself. Thank you in advance.

Thank you! With keeping the temp down, how much of a drop in temp affect my axolotl? Since he’s tubbed, and the heat spiked today he has moved from being between 64-65 F to now being around 61.9 to 62.5 F.
it is going to be warmer this week so I am trying to come up with a method while I am at work.

You just may need to do a twice daily change and I drop temps sudden it makes them lethargic for a min or 2 just dont forget prime

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
