Tube worms - Australians only please !

As these are readily available in Australia, I was wondering if any Australian owners of Axolotls use these for feeding and if they are good or bad for our little friends ?

If they're harvested from the ocean I can image they'd be salty and evil. But these are recommended as shrimp food

Polychaetes have high levels of essential fatty acids, particularly the polyunsaturated fatty acids that are believed to be an important dietary requirement for penaeid shrimp reproduction and development.

It also says they have high levels of 'bromophenols,' but I have no idea what this is or whether it's good/bad. Hopefully somebody can help. The only live worms I can get my hands on are bait shop earthworms, and its a 40 minute round trip to get them - this makes me very interested in anything that can be shipped :happy:

We are thinking about starting an earth worm farm.
As we are in a unit I was unsure if this was possible, I have now discovered can-o-worms. This looks quite promising.

It's 50cm wide, even that's too big for me! I'm going to try to put something together with 2 ice cream containers or something, I don't go through that many worms anyway. But I still need to have a supply Good luck if you give it a go, it looks pretty solid if you have room.
