Hello!

I have an approximately 1-year-old male leucistic axolotl named Skippy. A while ago, I noticed what looked like a blood blister or a red pimple on his right side just behind his forelimb. I thought he had whacked himself on something, and that it was just a bruise and would go away on its own. It hasn't, so I need help identifying it and figuring out what to do next. It doesn't seem to bother him, but I worry that it is a tumor or a bacterial infection. I've attached a picture.

Any help would be appreciated. He's a class pet in a high school classroom and my students would be devastated if anything were to happen to Skippy.
