Hi there,
at first - sorry for my English, I'm form czech republic. I got some troubles with my about 9 months old axolotl.
On his head i some "bump" or what and yesterday the skin at the bump went little out - something like slough skin. Since monday (i first spotted the bump) axolotl dont want to eat and its moves are clumsy. Also his gills started to point forward ( i think this is because of stress of this "bump").
Does anybody know what is going on and how can i help? Axolotl was healthy and okey until this monday.

Here are photos: Index of /axolotl

Thank you in advance.

Ondrej

I think this needs to be seen by a vet, I do not think that this can be treated by your self. I suspect this may be an abscess.

For the lump - I don't know and agree with bell, go see a vet.

However i would like to mention those rocks look nasty for the axolotl. If he were to swallow one, I don't think he would pass it very well, or at all. It can cause internal injuries and impaction.
