Next will be a background. Not sure of what one I wil use this time. I may just paint the back and sides black.

Has anyone made a concrete background for newts and found any problems with Ph?

PS,... how do I edit the title. The i and the o must be to close on the keyboard:D

Wow!

Whats happened to the forum?!

Over 50 views and no comments? I know I cant be doing anything wrong.

No new posts since mine? Where is everyone?

Oh, thanks for editing my title:D

Looks great. Do not use concrete, it will mess with your pH. For a less-permanent background, you can use plain black (or blue or green) construction paper. Easier than painting.

Nice looking setup. Your newts must be very happy. That is a very nice piece of driftwood ive been looking for a piece just like that but havent found one yet.

Awesome! Is that a Fluval? I cant justify buying one of those for my tanks

So those are Paddletails right? Is the tank big enough for them? All I know is that these guys are too territorial.

Wow, thanks guys. I thought everyone vanished on me:D

I have black construction paper on it now and have been planning on gong out to get a small can of black latex and just paint it on but I got lazy. Its been nice lately so I have been out looking for things like more duckweed and stuff.

I wanna do a in tank back ground but I want more depth to it than the ones I made in the past.

What I used to do was take a thick piece of green foam from the craft store and burn groves and stuff in it and then just paint it with Krylon Fusion ( 100% safe ) but I wanna do something more elaborate like the one for my cichlids.

Any other suggestions? I used coco fiber mats before but they rotted after 6 months or so. What can I attach to or use to coat foam?

ravenous, its a Magnum 350. I have like 3 of them around. I swear by them:evil:. The newts are C.pyrrhogaster much like the title states:D

So far nothing new. I just got some more duck weed and a few hitch hiker snails and copapod like inverts from a local pond. Nothing worth making a update clip yet. Maybe today if I find anything cool out in the streams and ponds.
