Tylototriton kweichowensis

Yes it really looks like an ulcer. But it can easily be treated.
It would be very interesting if you could find out at what humidity he kept them. Because reproduction in shanjing only seems to occur with humidity levels of 95%. And I'm wondering if the same applies for kweichowensis.

Well
here in germany and austria, some people, including me, didn't produce any larvae,....
Why?Think of the people, running to the next wholesaler,.....
Raising the juvies isn't easy and takes a long time, when you keep them at right temperatures, not in "tropical-mass-production" climate,.....
Less people want to do that job,.....
And if they get Juvies, some sell them to other persons, as soon,as wcs arrive,.....
disgusting.
greets,

I agree with you Philipp but I don't entirely see the connection to my question concerning humidity?

Do you have any experiences regarding the humidity for kweichowensis?
And believe me your not the only one that wants to raise cb juveniles. I believe that raising them from juveniles is the only way to really get to know your animals but you also know that you didn't coöperate in destroying wild populations.

Hi mark
No, i didn't cooperate in destroying natural habitats:D
As you might understand, i don't want to post any more expensive and own experience of mine any longer,..
i often told, that dry places are important, nobody seems to listen,..
or it's sold as "new",....
another problem is, that boards like this are used as cheap Vets or literature. you can get informations for free, so even, in my eyes, not good keepers, run consuming newts,....
I don't want to support such persons any longer, also i don't want to help people, waiting for juveniles to trade them as hell, and therefore need animals, that should be saved and perfectly kept by the help of users. As i told another dutch keeper, i prefer contacting me private or talking e.g. in Gersfeld.
(If I find a way to get there).
Online boards aren't all wrong, but become easy helpers for people, who totally concentrate on such help.
Can you understand?
Greets,
Philipp
