A long last, great to see some Chinese young people challenging the 'if it moves, we cook it' culture in China. Having grown up a conservation advocate in rural, hunting crazy, herps hating Southern France, I feel I do share a lot with them... (warning the video embeded in the article contain a glimpse of a bucket full of newt -FBN? - juvies for sale and a short scene of a turtle being butchered)

mmmmm....turtle.....

China is pretty "bad" I guess, however it is good to see them attempting changes.

It really is a matter of locality and opinion.

We eat quite a few things stateside that folks from other countries find offensive. ( I tried to explain Scrapple to an Aussie once...) I can say I was not impressed with cuisine in the UK... (tripe, kidney!?!? ugh!)

And believe me, after spending six months traveling the west coast of South America, you would not believe some of the things they consider food there!
