Unable to swallow

My axie is accepting worms, but nothing else, and he can't seem to swallow them. Is there a blockage of some kind?

Try rinsing the slime off the worms before feeding.

What kind of worms are you using? Sometimes red wigglers, a species of worms, are refused because they secrete a foul tasting fluid.

I am feeding him regular european earthworms. He tried lobworms (nightcrawlers) and managed to eat them fine before. I usually rinse the worms anyway to remove the dirt.

He managed to eat a fairly small one tonight, but it's miles better than nothing!
