Photo: Underside of her tail...is this normal?

Is it supposed to be so thick? my other axies all have fairly thin 'fins' on their tails. I just noticed that the whole underside of Valentines tail is pretty thick. Shes chunky too. Is this just a sign that I have a fat axolotl or could this be bloat or something?

If your axolotl was bloated i dont think you would notice it in the tail. It could be overweight?

I've heard that with bloated axies, they start to retain fluid in lots of weird places, neck, torso, legs, tail, etc. I figured I'd ask here just in case and see if this is something to be concerned about .

Personally i wouldnt stress about it but thats my opinion. someone will know better then i will about it
