Unofficial 2015 calendar competition!

You're too kind, juraj. It's you that's the photographer, I just get lucky with the camera from time to time! :)

Oh, me and photographer ! :D Thanx. There were times of photographers on this forum years ago.
From time to time after hours of torture I get something better like this
spring 2013
spring 2014
early summer 2014
summer 2014
Shouldn`t this be put in field herping ?

I have never seen a 'guilty look' on a salamander's facel until now (Juraj #4) LOL

I can imagine it saying " I didn't mean to eat that Daphnia, it just swam into my mouth..."

How about, "I didn't mean to eat my little brother...he just swam into my mouth."

Ok,ok,
the nice heavily planted tank, clear water clean glass - that's a photography
got my vote

I would agree, they are great photos!

Beautiful! Well done Juraj.
I think this would be the appropriate section because we aren't really sharing our field herping experiences, more just posted our findings pictures. And in some cases the animals are captive so that wouldn't fit field herping section :)

More photos!

Can I harass with a variation ?

Not only beautiful shots, but beautiful animals! That's one of the problems I have, there aren't very many colorful or particularly beautiful amphibians around me ( well, I think they are beautiful, but I am also newt crazed  ).

The species are:
Ambystoma opacum (marbled)
Desmognathus brimleyorum (quachita dusky)
And I think Plethodon albagula (western slimy).
These are a few field herping pics.

Here is one for now. I will take some more pictures since they are quite a bit bigger now.:D

Nice photo Bette!

Out of curiosity, did anyone actually make a calendar out of these photos? I haven't yet, but maybe when I get the cash together I will.

I was going too...
But I ended up making a calendar from my Cairngorms photos.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
