Photo: Urgent help needed: Huge wound in axolotl's belly

I'm sorry if the way I am holding him seems cruel, but this was the only way that I could get a photo of his belly.
Last week, he jumped out of his tank and crawled across my carpet. He had scraped his belly up and had gotten fungus on his feet. I treated the fungus with a salt bath, and when he was fungus free and just had the scar on his belly, I put him in the tank. Today I checked (a couple days after he had been placed in the tank), and although he is acting normal, and has been, he has this giant hole on his belly.
I don't know what to do. I don't know if something is eating away at his skin, I don't know how to treat it, and I don't know how to keep him safe. He's not showing any signs of stress, and he has been eating and swimming like he always has.
Please help, I need answers as soon as possible.

I have finally found a vet that has agreed to see him, and I have made an appointment for tomorrow morning. I will keep everyone updated.
So far, he is having trouble eating, and I will have to use the money I got for my college tuition to pay for this, but I don't expect it costing too much.

Update: After two doses of the medication he is finally eating again. He went from not being able to eat anything to eating whole portions. He isn't lethargic anymore as he now swims to the top of the tank, but that makes giving him medication much harder now.
