Verrucosus going terrestrial at 4 inches (10 cm)

Finally two of my verrucosus figured they wanted to get out of the water. I highly doubt they've got a clue what they're getting themselves into but oh well.. they feel rather clumsy on land and will need to learn to eat again. Hopefully they'll catch on soon. Pictures later today.

not really, they're in the living room which is relatively warm (21 Celsius). I think it has more to do with offering them a perch out of the water for the first time. At school I provided them with the thick layer of plants to hang out in. At home I didn't have as many floating plants available so I provided a piece of bark. Once they decided they liked it out of the water, they didn't really go back in.

Fortunately they accept worms on land too. They both ate one from my hand today. The third one still prefers being in the water.
