this is from my not so good pics taken this weekend-but until i get a better one-i wanted to know - do they get oranger than this? he appears to be an older male -it is my impression that though tylos are not very dimorphic - my males have slightly more orange. this guy has a white/orange ring around his eye and is very large. the orange isnt as bright as i have seen in some but he isnt the darker orange type and he definitely has a lot -even on the belly. do they get more orange as they get older?

A kweichow both in the water and extremely colourful! He looks very healthy too. Very nice.

it varies between 8 and 10 inches. there is a big artificial log at one side and the piece of cork bark behind him(grown over with plants), also some java fern on the bare bottom of the set up-these guys took to water fast and a few males stay in there almost exclusively.

I am finally in the process of moving the ones that I have into a permanent setup - details in the vivaria general discussion section. Anyway, I had filter problems so it will not be up and running until this weekend however the water depth will only be around 5 inches or so. I suppose that if this proves to be too shallow I can always build on the land section and raise it up a bit. Sorry, please excuse my rambling thoughts.
