Hello to all Caudata members.
I think this poor fellow has 'bloat' and I don't know what to do about it or what the possible consequences for the rest of our colony are.
We have two ponds connected by an occasionally flowing 'stream' and both with a fountain/filter arrangement, plants, but no fish or frogs. These were colonised voluntarily by wild common newts about ten years ago and the newts thrive, this being the first thing I've seen like this and I want to do everything in my power to make sure they're OK.
Any advice gratefully received.
