It's a very nice looking tank, I just hope it has a secure lid? Newts like to escape. It's kind of their hobby.

I didn't a few weeks ago, I bought a cage and put it on, cut out the spots i needed to get the filter in, then took the pieces I cut off to make a drawbridge over the waterfall part, he's not going anywhere

looks like a great setup. Glad you put a lid on in the end, despite being nearly fully aquatic they can be good climbers.

Is my 10 gallon good for him or should it be bigger? I've been thinking of getting a higher capacity tank to raise other newts, one of the ones that is shroter but wider, like a corner tank, but should i think about giving this guy a bigger home first? I'm thinkign this way since he can't very well be paired.
