Hi, I was just wondering how you would change daphnia water without losing a ton of daphnia? How do you guys change your water?
Thanks.

Scoop or siphon the water out and run it through a brine shrimp net. Put back any Daphnia caught.

I never did water changes on my daphnia tank. I just replaced water that evaporated, and trusted the cycle and algae would take care of the rest.

I combine water change with harvest. Exactly like Coastal Groovin describes, but I put the daphnia into newt tanks;)

I also take out the sinking debris occasionally with a baster, and this water just gets dumped. It probably has some daphnia, but there is no way to recover them.
