Water conditioners

Hello Fellow Enthusiasts,
I was wondering what you guys thought is the best water conditioner and a reason why? I currently use Nutrafin AquaPlus and have noticed that my little friend looks to be velvety. I have contacted my LFS and they said that A+ doesn't use Aloe Vera but rather some root extract. They also mentioned that if I use SeaChem Prime, I use much more. Any insight on this matter?

I have used Aquasafe on and off for over twenty years. In that time the formula has changed several times, but i've never had any issues.
Nowadays I use the same stuff I have for the Koi pool, it's super concentrated, so it's important to be certain of the dosage, but it works out far, far cheaper than aquarium versions.
