water fine but still no gills????

Hi Ya

Just wondered if anyone can help?

My 2 Albino Axie's are fine there water is fine & they are eating like there is no tomorrow but they gills don't seem to be coming back!

I have not put them in salt bath or fridge as they have been eating fine, are active & i didnt want to do anything to upset them as they are very Temperamental anyway,

How will it affect there health with there gills being stumpy?

I'm sorry if you've already been asked this- but what is the flow of the water like in your tank..?
Sometimes if the flow is too harsh it irritates the axolotls.

You say your water is 'fine', but you should post up the exact levels of ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, temperature etc.

Additionally, how aerated is your tank? If there's lots of dissolved oxygen (well-aerated), they don't need gills as much, so the gills won't grow as big or fluffy.
