Illness/Sickness: Weird behaviour with spinning

I'm so ,so ,so sorry to hear about your loss. At least he is not suffering anymore. I know how hard it is to lose an axie ( = friend). I wish you strength.
Please, please let us know what the vet finds out in autopsy, it may safe another axies life in the future.

Oh no :(
Sorry :(
Good on you for agreeing to autopsy though, to further your vet's knowledge + allow him to further help other axies in the future.
You can rest easy knowing you did everything you could + are potentially helping others. VERY cute photo. Can you upload it as your avatar, as a memorial?

Thanks to all of you!
Let's hope the vet can learn something from it :(

Good idea

I went to the vet today to pay him and hear what the result from the autopsy was.

All of his organs looked normal: his brain showed no external problems and his kidneys looked ok (so no heavy metal problems).
Only his lungs showed a serious infection.

He also made an X-Ray after he euthanised Axel and it showed a big air bubble next to his stomach, but the vet thinks that this orginated from the last air gulp he took before euthanisating.

So the only thing that looked abnormal was the lung infection, but this can't explain the spinning. There has to be something internal in his brains (the vet thinks).

He took the brain, organs and some samples of tissue. This will be send to an university in the Netherlands and there they might perform some more research.

This is dependent of the university, so It's possible it never happens or I never will hear the result. The vet said to contact him in about 2 months.

It's a shame that it had to end this way, but this is the best solution for Axel.:(
Hopefully they can find something in the University, so it wasn't useless.

That's sad :( I hope the university does find something and contact the vet so you can know what caused this

I'm so sorry. He's beautiful in the pictures. Rest in peace little axie :(

So so sorry for your loss :(
