Weird film on skin?

The first picture is what he looked like about 5 months ago.
Now he has a weird "film" all over his body and partially on his head.
On the places where the film is the colours aren't as bright and I can see his reflecting spots anymore. Other than that he is eating great and is very responsive to me. His attitude hasn't changed, just his appearance.
Any ideas?

You can kinda see that film patches I'm talking about on his head. It completely covers the rest of his body.

His gills are fine if not fluffier then when I first got him.

Could you post the test results for your Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, and PH?

What is the water temperature?

Added anything to the tank recently? Made any changes with prices you use?

No changes and it was a gradual. I'll test the water today.

Likely either an irritation to his slime coat or normal shedding. Check your water conditioners, as anything with Aloe Vera has been known to cause these irritations. If his eyes are also cloudy, then you may have a water quality issue.
